Steve McCurry traveled to Indonesia, Nepal and the Philippines to photograph domestic workers who endured a myriad of abuses while working for families elsewhere in Asia and the Middle East.

McCurry recognized with lifetime achievement award by The British Royal Photographic Society

Steve McCurry has been awarded the Centenary Medal for Lifetime Achievement at the 2014 Royal Photographic Society Awards.
McCurry was given the award “in recognition of a sustained, significant contribution to the art of photography.”
McCurry spoke at the ceremony and told of his delight at being given the award: “I can’t think of a better way to spend my life than wandering this planet telling stories."
